“I must know everything. I must penetrate the heart of his secret! I must become Caligari!”
Our imperfections are also our biggest strengths. Whether they are part of a project or our ways of being, they are an integral part or us. When we discover them, it is not question of hiding them to the rest of the world, but to find how to use them to our advantage. Those are what allow us to go further on, and that we learn how to do our best. As an imperfect human being, I have spent the last months focused on the sole task of creating an analog synthesizer out of nothing; today, I wish for you all to be able to try it. This presentation is a doorway into sharing the passion that we share for instruments of our practice. I invite you to come and try my creation, and to bring to the surface all its imperfections.

Promotional video for Conrad, the first part of this modular synthesizer
In the same artisanal esthetic of Conrad, Caligari searches the democratization of lutherie and aspires to a free-form exploration or electronic circuitry. Caligari is an analogic circuit entirely from my hand that is supported by a micro-computer as a general conductor. My goal was to bridge the gap between the analog and the digital, to make a first step into a lutherie that is polyvalent and exhaustive.
This performance is a demonstration of what Conrad and Caligari are able to achieve when combined together. My gratitude is toward those who took the time last session to come and try out Conrad. Your encouragement and comments allowed me to keep hope up to this point.

The original recording of CONRAD-CALIGARI at Salle Claude-Champagne was lost in production due to mishandling of equipment. Here is another recording of the performance made in a private setting. In the hope that it could reenact the spirit of the original.
